BSA interacting with students

Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh govt is launching a focused initiative to establish direct communication with students and youth and to address their concerns. Key elements include direct interaction between officials and students in schools, career guidance programmes, and the formulation of an integrated youth policy aimed at holistic development through education, employment, sports, and AI-based skill development.As part of this effort, the govt has directed officials from the IAS, IPS, and IFS cadres to engage directly with the younger generation, especially students.Prayagraj DM Manish Kumar Verma said, “Designated nodal officers have been instructed to regularly visit schools in their respective areas. During these visits, they are to assess the status of essential facilities and the quality of teaching and learning. If any issues are identified, they must ensure these are rectified as far as possible and report the action taken.”Clear instructions have been issued for all nodal officers to interact with children and encourage them to progress through discipline, hard work, and persistent effort.The administration is also engaging with youth and encouraging them to channel creative activities in a positive direction. DM Verma emphasized that, alongside academics, schools should promote sports competitions, interactive sessions, painting, and other innovative activities so that children can succeed by pursuing their interests alongside their studies.Notably, the DM has also directed the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) and the District Panchayati Raj Officer to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation arrangements in schools.Under this initiative, the DM personally launched the campaign in the district and visited CAV Inter College, where he engaged in direct dialogue with students during a ‘Career Samvad’ (career interaction) programme recently. He inquired about their studies and future career aspirations. Encouraging the students, he emphasized the importance of setting ambitious goals in life and pursuing them through discipline, hard work, and persistent effort.He urged them to study diligently and turn their dreams into reality. Acknowledging their talent and interests, the DM told students that they all possess great potential and advised them to study with dedication and set goals aligned with their personal interests. He encouraged everyone to resolve to achieve something significant for their parents and their country. Sharing his own experiences, the DM stated that with discipline and consistent effort, no goal is impossible to achieve.Following government directives, the process of implementing the initiative has begun in Prayagraj district. Education officials have prepared a roadmap and have already started executing it.Anil Kumar, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (Prayagraj), said that he has planned to interact with students from at least 20 schools each month and has already commenced the activity. The BSA inspected the Upper Primary School in Bhikhampur (Kaudhihar block), where he first interacted with the teachers and subsequently engaged in direct dialogue with the students. He discussed their studies and any issues they faced at school.The BSA added that teachers have also been instructed to try to connect emotionally with their students so that they can better understand the students’ perspectives and expressions.
