Mumbai: After a post on X went viral claiming mayor Ritu Tawde was wearing a “yellow gold Rolex Daytona” worth over Rs 1 crore, the first citizen of the city on Friday dismissed it as “false and misleading”.She said the watch she wore was far less expensive and not a Rolex. “The question of crores doesn’t arise,” she said. She called the post a “deliberate attempt at defamation” and said she would not pay heed to false accusations against her.Tawde said she has the title of a mayor and considers herself as the city’s “sevak”.
