Nagpur: Kalamna police’s investigation team arrested three persons, including an Odisha-based truck driver, and seized 10kg high-grade cannabis (ganja) valued at 2.5 lakh during a late-night operation on Tuesday. Property worth around 33 lakh, including a truck, scooter and mobile phones, was also seized, reports Soumitra Bose.Senior PI Praveen Kale said recent investigations have identified truckers operating from Odisha as a significant link in the cannabis supply chain to Nagpur, with several cases pointing towards interstate smuggling networks. At around 2.15am, police stopped a scooter on HB Town-Chikhli Chowk road. The rider, identified as Rinku Rajput (30), initially admitted that the bags contained cannabis. During questioning, he allegedly disclosed the consignment had been brought from Odisha by his associate, Gurpreet Singh Multani. Cops traced and intercepted the truck and recovered ganja. Three accused were detained on the spot.
