Amritsar: An AI-generated video depicting objectionable scenes linked to the Parikrama of the Golden Temple has raised the hackles of SGPC.SGPC spokesperson Harbhajan Singh said the clip was an old video, for which an FIR had been lodged on Jan 29. He said although the video had been removed earlier following their objection, some “mysterious elements” had once again circulated it on social media.
In the recent past, the SGPC constituted a committee to curb the growing trend of spreading misinformation about Sikhism through AI technology and to prevent the circulation of content on social media that undermined the dignity and sanctity of the Sikh faith.
