Bengaluru-based Nurix AI on Thursday acquired conversational AI platform Verloop.io to expand its enterprise AI offerings across voice and chat, strengthening its presence in India and the Middle East.
The acquisition combines Nurix AI’s flagship voice AI platform, NuPlay, with Verloop.io’s expertise in chat automation, enabling enterprises to deploy AI agents across multiple customer engagement channels.
Verloop.io currently powers more than 20 million customer interactions every month across sectors including banking, financial services, retail and telecommunications. The acquisition is expected to enhance Nurix AI’s ability to deliver production-grade AI agents that automate customer engagement and business workflows at scale.
Founded by entrepreneur Mukesh Bansal, Nurix AI develops autonomous AI software and agents designed to automate complex enterprise processes. The company is backed by investors including General Catalyst, Accel and Prosus.
“AI is becoming a core operating layer for enterprises, but its value will be measured by real business outcomes, not pilots,” said Mukesh Bansal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Nurix AI.
As part of the acquisition, Verloop.io founder Gaurav Singh will join Nurix AI’s leadership team, where he will help shape product strategy, enterprise go-to-market initiatives and the development of next-generation AI agents.
“Over the last decade we’ve learned that enterprises don’t struggle to understand the possibilities of AI, but they struggle to deploy it reliably at scale. Together with Nurix AI, we have exactly the kind of agentic platform we believe the market needs,” Singh said.
Nurix AI said the acquisition expands its ability to support enterprises requiring AI agents across both real-time voice interactions and chat-based customer journeys.
