Prayagraj: Traffic police authoritis on Tuesday opened the north lane on Prayagraj Varanasi highway on Shastri Bridge for the commuting for light vehicles only.Earlier, this lane was closed for commuting for all sorts of vehicles in view of movement of kanwariyas.After acknowleding that the strengh of kanwariyas has become restricted, the traffic police authorities have decided to open the north lane for light vehicles like cars and two wheelers.Traffic police authorities, however, made it clear that north lane would be closed for heavy and commercial vehicles till further orders.Cops also claimed that there was additional pressure between Sohbatiyabagh and Daraganj route due to cleaning of drains near Sangam petrol pump. Cops appealed commuters to have patience while using this route.
