SRINAGAR , March 25, 2026 : The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF), through Chairman Abrar Ahmed Khan and President Hilal Mandu, has issued a high-priority statement to the people of Kashmir and the trading fraternity across the Valley.

The KTMF leadership provides the following assurances and mandates to ensure market stability:

Ample Stocks Available: The KTMF assures the general public that there is no need to panic. The Federation has confirmed that there are ample stocks of all essential commodities, including food supplies and petroleum, available throughout the Valley.

Appeal Against Panic Buying: Chairman Abrar Ahmed Khan and President Hilal Mandu urge citizens to refrain from panic-driven purchases. Such actions create unnecessary market pressure and do not reflect the actual availability of goods.

Strict Prohibition of Hoarding: The Federation has issued a stern warning to all wholesalers and retailers to refrain from hoarding. Any attempt to withhold supplies to create artificial scarcity is a grave violation of the Federation’s ethics.

Zero Tolerance for Black Marketing: All traders are strictly instructed to avoid black marketing and overcharging. The leadership emphasizes that all goods must be sold only at prescribed, fair-market rates.

Market Monitoring: The KTMF is actively monitoring the supply chain to ensure that essential goods remain accessible to every citizen without interruption.

LEADERSHIP STATEMENT:

“The KTMF stands with the people of Kashmir. We assure the public that we have got ample stocks of everything; there is absolutely no reason for distress. We have issued a clear mandate to our traders: there is no room for hoarding or black marketing. We are committed to maintaining fair prices and a steady supply for all.”Chairman Abrar Ahmed Khan & President Hilal Mandu.

The KTMF remains the guardian of the Valley’s trade integrity and will continue to work to safeguard the interests of both consumers and the business community.
