Noida: A four-year-old boy died after falling from the 15th floor of a highrise in Greater Noida on Monday. Police said he slipped from a broken window of the flat, which had no glass or grilles. Family members rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.According to police, the child was a resident of Kasna. His mother works as a domestic helper at Lohia Enclave society in Omicron 1. On Monday, she was cleaning out a vacant flat on the 15th floor of a tower in the society while her son played in the flat.The boy allegedly wandered to the opening while his mother was cleaning and suddenly fell. His mother and residents rushed the child to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Hospital authorities informed police, and the body was sent for an autopsy before being handed over to the family.Police said no complaint has been filed in the case. A preliminary probe suggests a window at the flat was broken and had no glass, grille or barriers to prevent such accidents.
