Jaipur: Amid concerns over global supply disruptions, senior oil industry officials on Monday said there is no shortage of LPG, petrol, diesel or aviation turbine fuel (ATF) in Rajasthan, with supplies being closely monitored and maintained smoothly.Addressing a press briefing, Manoj Gupta, executive director and state head (state-level coordinator, oil industry), said the situation remains under control despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. “Even as demand has picked up, supply remains stable. Diesel consumption growth rose to 21.5% in March 2026 compared to 3.9% during April 2025-Feb 2026,” he said. Officials underlined that adequate stocks of petrol and diesel are available at all retail outlets and storage depots, with oil companies maintaining real-time coordination with the state govt. Rajasthan is served by 12 supply depots of public sector oil marketing companies, ensuring uninterrupted replenishment across districts. ATF availability is also stable, with stocks sufficient for around 30 days at aviation locations and continuous replenishment in place. On LPG, officials said domestic cylinders are being delivered as per bookings through a robust network of 13 bottling plants, 1,376 distributors and over 11,000 delivery personnel, catering to nearly 1.85 crore consumers. “Despite high demand and panic bookings, supply is being maintained through continuous monitoring. The average backlog is around four days,” Gupta said. The govt is also pushing inclusive and cleaner fuel access. Distribution of 5-kg free-trade LPG cylinders to migrant workers and small vendors is underway as per guidelines. Auto LPG consumption has surged to 607 metric tonnes in 2026 — a 363% rise — indicating growing adoption of cleaner fuels, even as supply to commercial LPG users is being maintained at about 70% of pre-crisis levels. Officials said oil companies remain in constant touch with authorities, sharing real-time data to align supply with demand.
