Budgam, Mar 26: The District Administration in Budgam on Thursday said there is no fuel shortage, with adequate stocks of petrol and diesel available at all stations, warning that black marketing, hoarding and illegal diversion will invite strict action.

The district administration urged citizens to refrain from panic buying and avoid unnecessary rush at petrol pumps. Residents have been advised to purchase fuel strictly as per their routine requirements to ensure smooth and equitable distribution.

Authorities have directed all fuel outlets in the district to maintain transparency in sales and strictly adhere to prescribed norms. 

The administration also warned that any instances of hoarding, black marketing, overcharging, or unauthorized sale of fuel in loose containers such as bottles or cans will be dealt with firmly under the law.

To address public concerns and ensure efficient grievance redressal, a District Level Control Room has been established. Citizens can report issues related to fuel supply and distribution through dedicated helpline numbers: 01951-295223, 9186008200, 01951-255073, 9682684492, 6006751939, and 9469481342.

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to closely monitor the situation and called upon the public to cooperate in maintaining order and ensuring the uninterrupted availability of essential commodities.
