Times News NetworkKanpur: Nine faculty members of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, were recognised in the Global Scientific Index (GSI)-June 2026, an international ranking that honours researchers for academic achievements, research impact and contributions to science and technology.The institute stated, “The entire fraternity of HBTU extends heartfelt congratulations to the following faculty members, all of whom have been ranked among the top 5% researchers globally.”The recognised faculty members included Prof. Samsher, vice-chancellor, HBTU Kanpur, Prof. Onkar Singh, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Nishant Kumar Singh, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Rajeev Ganguly, Department of Civil Engineering, Prof. Santosh Kumar, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Dan Bahadur Pal, Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Yashvir Singh, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Sachin Kumar, Department of Bio-Chemical Engineering, Dr. Soma Banerjee, Department of Plastic Technology, and Dr. Anurag Singh, Department of Food Technology.The communique stated that the achievement reflected HBTU’s commitment to research, innovation and academic leadership.
