Tirupur: The district Police on Saturday detained a Nigerian youth who was staying in Tirupur illegally.John Kelichi Obota, 36, from Nigeria, was arrested after Nallur police received information about a foreigner living illegally in Parvathi Nagar near Kasipalayam in Tirupur.He was staying in a rented house for the past two years and working as a daily wager. Investigation revealed that he had continued to stay in the country even after his visa had expired. Efforts are on to send him to a camp.
