SINGRAULY: Social media influencer Nidhi Tiwari, 30, was found hanging at her residence in the Morwa area of Singrauli district in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday evening, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding her death after her family named a youth living in another state among the last people she spoke to.Her family members took Nidhi to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead. She was a resident of Bhusa Mod in the Morwa police station area of Singrauli, a neighbouring district of Sonbhadra.According to her family, the incident occurred at around 8pm on Saturday. News of her suspected death triggered panic in the area.Tiwari had around nine lakh followers on Facebook and nearly seven lakh on Instagram. Following her death, an emotional post was also reportedly shared on her social media account.Police reached the spot after being informed about the incident, took the body into custody and began an investigation.Officials are examining various aspects of the case, including the circumstances surrounding her death, reports of an argument over the phone and the identity and role of the youth named by her family.Shiyaz KM, superintendent of police, said the matter was under investigation and that the claims made by the family were being verified.“Her family has named a youth living in another state among the last people she spoke to. The claims are being verified,” the SP said.Her death has sparked discussion in the area, particularly in view of her large social media following and reports that she may have been under mental stress.However, the exact circumstances and reason behind her death have not yet been established, with the police continuing their probe.A social media status reportedly written by Tiwari before her death is now being examined by both her followers and the police. In the post, she wrote:“Is adhoore dil ko kisi ne poora nahi kiya, maine khud se poora kar diya…. isliye kaha jata hai khud se pyar karo, kisi aur se nahi. Khud mein khud ko talash karo, kisi aur mein aakhir kab tak talashoge khud ko…”(“No one completed this incomplete heart, so I completed it myself. That is why they say, love yourself, not someone else. Look for yourself within you; how long will you keep searching for yourself in someone else?”)The circumstances surrounding the post and its connection, if any, with the incident are also being examined as part of the investigation.
