Mapusa: The traffic congestion on NH 66, a key route to Manohar International Airport, will ease only after completion of the Dhargal flyover, said Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar on Tuesday. Arlekar directed authorities to enforce an effective traffic management plan before Ganesh Chaturthi.“With Ganesh Chaturthi approaching, we have discussed measures to manage traffic congestion at the stretch. I have asked authorities to take steps to minimise inconvenience to commuters while the flyover work continues,” he said.Public anger has grown over slow construction and poor traffic regulation along the stretch, with daily snarls and accidents affecting commuters, school buses, ambulances and passengers heading to Mopa.The MLA, along with PWD officials, inspected the road stretch on Tuesday. Officials said the flyover would be ready by Feb next year.
