Koraput: The body of a newborn boy was recovered from the roadside in Rayagada town on Friday morning. Passers-by noticed the infant lying unattended in Godabarish Nagar behind Rayagada college and alerted police.It is suspected that the baby might have died shortly after birth and was abandoned at the site. “We have recovered the body and started an inquiry. The reason behind the incident will be ascertained after a thorough investigation,” said IIC of Rayagada Town police station Prasanna Behera.
