New Delhi: A six to seven-day-old infant was found crying on the roadside, allegedly abandoned near Aali Mor in southeast Delhi’s Sarita Vihar, before Delhi Police rushed to the spot and rescued the newborn.According to police, the infant was spotted by PCR staff. The newborn was immediately taken to AIIMS paediatric emergency, where doctors provided medical care. Police said the child was in a fragile condition when found and needed immediate attention.The quick intervention by PCR team proved crucial, ensuring that the newborn received treatment before the situation could turn worse. Doctors are currently monitoring the infant, while police have begun efforts to piece together what happened before the child was found alone on the road.
