Jaisalmer: Newly appointed BSF Director General Praveen Kumar visited Jaisalmer for the first time after assuming charge, as part of his tour of Rajasthan’s border areas. He inspected several Border Out Posts (BOPs) along the India–Pakistan International Border adjoining Jaisalmer and reviewed security arrangements.At BSF frontier headquarters, Kumar reviewed operational preparedness through a detailed briefing. He assessed training standards and future training requirements at the Subsidiary Training Centre, Jodhpur, and reviewed the role and performance of the BSF’s camel contingent. The DG visited forward border outposts in the shifting sand dunes of the Thar Desert, interacted with Seema Praharies, reviewed ground deployment, and reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to vigilant border management. The Directorate General also inspected operational locations, met officers and personnel, and carried out a detailed review of functioning, vigilance, and preparedness, gathering inputs on multiple aspects of border management.
