Gandhinagar: The state govt on Tuesday announced that a new cruise facility with a capacity of 600 tourists will soon be launched at Ektanagar in Narmada district. Currently, a cruise accommodating 200 tourists is operational at the site.According to an official statement, the new cruise service is being introduced to meet rising tourist demand. The facility will be made operational after fulfilling all required safety norms and securing necessary approvals from the departments concerned.Govt said the cruise has been designed for more than just river travel and can host a variety of social, cultural, and corporate events. Birthday parties, corporate gatherings, music evenings, cultural programmes, private functions and other special celebrations can be organised on board.The new cruise will feature a dining facility for 250 guests and a stage measuring five metres in length and four metres in width, making it suitable for large-scale events and entertainment programmes, the statement added.
