Jaisalmer: A man allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl while her parents were away for labour work in Jaisalmer district Saturday.According to police, when the victim’s parents returned home in the evening, they found their daughter missing and began searching for her. She was later found in the neighbourhood.In a distressed condition, the girl told her mother that a man from their neighbourhood committed a wrong act with her. She was taken to the Mahila Thana, and the incident was reported.Police said the girl was admitted to the hospital and was undergoing treatment. She will be later examined by a medical board. Police have detained one accused in connection with the case, and an investigation is underway.
