Prayagraj: Authorities of North Central Railway (NCR) have stepped up monsoon preparedness, with General Manager Naresh Pal Singh directing officials to ensure strict safety protocols and remain ready to respond to weather-related emergencies.A high-level meeting was held at the NCR headquarters on Wednesday to review preparedness for the rainy season, attended by all Principal Heads of Departments and divisional officers. During the meeting, the GM instructed field officials to personally inspect monsoon precaution sections and verify the immediate availability of relief materials and equipment.He also directed officials to conduct thorough inspections of railway tracks and assess the operational readiness of monsoon wagons and other relief supplies. Officials were asked to remain vigilant about sudden flooding and ensure regular monitoring of bridges, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall.The GM stressed the need for detailed inspection of tracks and ballast to ensure that intense rain does not compromise track integrity or disrupt signalling systems. He called for proactive measures and close coordination among field units to prevent monsoon-related disruptions to train operations.
