Kanpur: The nine-day festival of Chaitra Navratri concluded with the worship of the ninth incarnation of Goddess Durga, ‘Siddhadhatri’, and Ram Navami celebrations in the city. Special religious rituals and havan was performed at homes and temples on the occasion while many performed rituals at home. Long queues of devotees were seen at the prominent temples of the city till late evening hours. Kanya Pujan was performed by devotees. Girls, as nine form of the goddess, were worshipped and served meals on the occasion. Devotees also took Jaware processions to the temples on the intervening night of March 26 and 27. Special prayers and religious events were held to mark Ram Navami celebrations in the city.
