Mysuru Literature Festival posters were released by Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust

Mysuru: The Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust and Mysuru Book Clubs Charitable Trust will be organising the 10th edition of the Mysuru Literature Festival on July 4 and 5 at Hotel Southern Star in the city.Speaking to reporters on Monday, Shubha Sanjay Urs, chairperson, Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust, said, “The festival will be inaugurated by Mysuru royal family’s Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, while bestselling author Amish Tripathi and entrepreneur Aroon Raman will attend. Eight books will be released during the festival. The organisers will also felicitate Padma Shri awardee and renowned book collector Ankegowda of Pandavapura, along with MM Nikhilesh of the Kalisu Foundation for their contributions to literature and reading culture.“This year’s festival will feature thought-provoking sessions on mythology, history, India’s civilisational heritage, regional literature, translation, poetry, business leadership, democracy, science, artificial intelligence and creative writing,” she said.Distinguished speakers include Shatavadhani Ganesh, Jonathan Gil Harris, Mayank Mansingh Kaul, Vivek Shanbhag, Harish Bhat, Bhaskar Bhat, Capt GR Gopinath, TM Krishna, Chandan Gowda, Mahesh Rao, Madhavi Menon, Kubbra Sait and several other acclaimed writers, scholars and artists from across the country.“Special sessions will explore Karnataka and Rajasthan’s literary traditions, RK Narayan’s enduring legacy, multilingual writing, Hindi poetry, the Tata Group’s leadership philosophy, India’s changing social and political landscape, mystery fiction, satire, scientific communication and the growing influence of artificial intelligence on reading and writing. Aspiring authors will also have an opportunity to learn from established writers during dedicated workshops on short story writing and publishing,” added Shubha.Apart from literary discussions, the festival will present a documentary screening of River of Life, followed by an interaction with noted wildlife conservationist Sanjay Gubbi.Kitty Mandanna, Thangam Panakal, secretary, MLFCT; Sam Cherian, vice-chairperson, MLFCT; Ranjan Irani, treasurer, MLFCT, were also present.
