For the 2027 Pirelli Calendar, photographers Sølve Sundsbø and Avani Rai brought to life an India-focused project; it honors the vision of the late photographer Raghu Rai (Avani’s father), who passed before the calendar was fully conceptualized. The calendar shoot took place across Rajasthan and the streets of Old Delhi, and features Indian talent such as Bhavitha Mandava, Anoushka Shankar, Rupi Kaur, Freida Pinto and Avantika Vandanapu. {Fashionista inbox}

H&M to Conduct NYC Layoffs

On Sept. 4, H&M is set to lay off 76 employees at its New York City corporate office. The decision is reportedly part of a restructuring strategy to make operations more flexible and efficient. “We recognize the impact these decisions have on our colleagues and do not take them lightly. Zendaya’s Red-Carpet Jewelry Sparks Controversy Over Artifacts

Archaeologists are criticizing Zendaya for wearing a pair of earrings made from gold discs from ancient Iran during one of her “The Odyssey” press run appearances. Experts are calling it disrespectful to the culture and insensitive to the fact that the jewelry may have been acquired through illegal plundering. LVMH Names New Fragrance Chief

LVMH has hired Yann Musquin as general manager of fragrance brands, effective Aug. 3. He succeeds Romain Spitzer, who was recently appointed CEO of Bottega Veneta. Musquin has worked at LVMH for 18 years, holding various leadership roles across brands. Hoka and Ugg Boost Deckers’ Q1 Earnings

For Q1 of fiscal year 2027, Deckers surpassed $1 billion in revenue for the first time. The company credits this to strong sales from Hoka and Ugg, with the former up 7.7% (to $703.5 million) and the latter up 4.9% (to $278 million). Meanwhile, Deckers’ “other brands” (Teva) saw an 18.1% decline in sales (to $37.9 million compared to $46.3 million the same time last year). {Deckers}
