How Fashion Brands Could Tap Into ‘Clipping’
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat’s Vivet debut at New York Fashion Week went viral through thousands of fan-made clips shared across TikTok and Instagram, a tactic born in streaming and gaming culture called “clipping.” Clipping agencies pay creators based on views to cut campaign content into short, unpolished videos, and brand interest is growing quickly. Luxury fashion has been slower to adopt the approach, as some brands are wary of losing control over their image. {Vogue Business/paywalled}
