Mumbai: Standup comic Raunaq Rajani alleged that his wife suffered a rib fracture after being beaten up by policemen during the July 22 Shivaji Park protest. He released video clips to show policemen resorting to “brute force’’ after the couple questioned the detention of a young demonstrator. They were bundled into a police van. The couple returned to Delhi the following day. After his wife’s pain did not subside, Rajani took her for medical treatment where an X-ray confirmed a fractured rib.
