With Nitesh Tiwari‘s much-awaited ‘Ramayana‘ gearing up for its theatrical release, the makers are stepping up their promotional campaign with a global audience in mind. Producer Namit Malhotra, who has spoken about his ambition to take the Indian epic to audiences worldwide, has brought popular YouTuber MrBeast on board as part of the film’s promotional campaign.The content creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is currently in India and joined the Ramayana team for a promotional event in Mumbai.

A grand promotional event for ‘Ramayana’ was held in Mumbai and attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari and MrBeast. MrBeast received a traditional Indian welcome at the event, where he interacted with the enthusiastic crowd. At one point, he asked the audience, “Are you guys having a good time?” When the response was not as loud as expected, Ranbir Kapoor appeared to prompt the YouTuber to lead a chant.MrBeast then said, “Jai Shree Ram,” prompting loud cheers from the audience. A video of the moment has since circulated widely on social media, drawing attention to the unusual crossover between one of the world’s biggest online creators and one of India’s most ambitious mythological film projects.For the event, Ranbir opted for a dark blue kurta-pants ensemble with a navy blue sleeveless traditional jacket. Sai Pallavi complemented the occasion in a shimmery golden-orange saree. The cast and makers, including MrBeast, later posed together for photographs.
All about ‘Ramayana: The Introduction’
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash plays Ravan, while Ravie Dubey essays Lakshman and Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman. The ensemble cast also includes Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Sheeba Chaddha, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan and Kajal Aggarwal.The film’s music is being composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The ambitious adaptation is planned as a two-part saga, with Ramayana: Part 1 scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6, followed by its India release on November 8. The second instalment is slated to release around Diwali next year. The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra, with the makers positioning Ramayana as a global-scale adaptation of the Indian epic.
