“India recognised Palestine in 1988. Politically, what could be done has largely been done… As per India’s longstanding position, regional conflicts are for the region to resolve. Just as India does not expect external interference in its own matters, it applies the same principle to the Middle East,” said Kabir Taneja, executive director of the Observer Research Foundation think-tank’s Middle East office.
