Lucknow: In an initiative towards environmental sustainability, water security and climate resilience, BJP’s Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh has written to schools in his constituency, inviting them to install Rainwater Harvesting Systems free of cost under the Net Zero Sarojininagar Mission 2040.The initiative aims to transform educational institutions into centres of environmental leadership and sustainable development, making it the first constituency-wide campaign of its kind in any Assembly constituency.As part of the initiative, the 60 schools already equipped with Digital Labs under Singh’s education reforms have been invited first to become Green Schools through the installation of free Rainwater Harvesting Systems. In his letter, Singh said, “The future of any nation is shaped in its classrooms. Our schools must become centres not only of academic excellence but also of environmental responsibility.”
