Mangaluru: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), an autonomous body promoted by the state govt, announced the winners of the Mangaluru regional finals of the 17th edition of TCS TechBytes. Following multiple rounds of high-energy quizzing, Sushantha VN and Shubham Dadhick from Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE), Moodubidire, emerged as the winners, while Sujnan D Devadiga and Aditya Bhat K from NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, secured the runner-up position in the Mangaluru regional round. TCS TechBytes is an initiative by TCS and BITES aimed at helping engineering students keep pace with the evolving technology landscape while enhancing their lateral thinking abilities. Participants first underwent a preliminary written test conducted at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. The top six teams from this round qualified for an interactive quiz that tested students’ acumen across various technologies.Dr SS Injaganeri, principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, was the chief guest. The winners of TCS TechBytes Mangaluru edition will represent the city at the state finals, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on May 5, said Sunil Deshpande, regional head, TCS Bengaluru, and Prof S Sadagopan, chairman, BITES.
