Patna: A horrific case of gang rape of a minor girl has come to light in Patna, where the survivor was allegedly held hostage and assaulted by three men over several hours. Taking immediate action, the police arrested two people, while one was still at large.According to the girl’s statement recorded before GRP officials at Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), she arrived by train from Vijayawada to Patna. She lost her cellphone during the journey and was sitting and crying at Patna Junction when a young man approached her.The man offered to help her file a complaint with the GRP and escorted her out of the station. Instead of taking her to the police, he took her in an autorickshaw to Gandhi Maidan. After some time, another man arrived in a white car and took her away. The duo first took her to a toilet near railway station, where they allegedly gang-raped her in turns. As evening fell, they threatened her into silence and shifted her to a building under construction. A third man was already present at the site. The victim stated that the three men took her to the upper floor, gave her food, and then raped her one by one. Due to severe bleeding, the accused later dumped her on the road near Danapur station and fled.SHO Danapur Rail, Sudhir Kumar Singh, said when the girl, 15, was crying at the station, one of the accused returned and tried to forcibly take her again. “She resisted, and passers-by intervened, handing both of them over to the GRP at Danapur. She was first taken to PHC for medical aid and later referred to PMCH for further treatment,” he told TOI on Tuesday.“Based on the victim’s complaint, the GRP has registered a case under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the BNS. Police have identified all three accused and arrested Vikas Kumar alias Vijay, 21, resident of Beur, and Pawan Rai, 22, resident of Saristabad,” the SHO added.
