Hyderabad: A 14-year-old student of Jagtial Rural mandal, who went missing after leaving her school on Wednesday afternoon, was traced at Gwalior Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday night following a coordinated search by Telangana and Railway Police.According to police, the girl, whose family hails from Madhya Pradesh and has been living in Jagtial for several years, attended classes as usual before changing out of her school uniform into casual clothes and quietly leaving the campus without the knowledge of teachers.When school staff noticed her absence, they lodged a missing person complaint with Jagtial Rural police. A case was registered and two police teams launched a search. CCTV footage showed the student travelling in an autorickshaw from the school to the old bus stand via Hanmanwada.During the investigation, police recovered a letter allegedly left by the girl at the school, in which she stated that she was not planning to die by suicide. Investigators suspect she had been influenced through contacts made on Instagram.Police believed she was heading to her native place in Madhya Pradesh and alerted the Railway Police with her details. She was subsequently traced at Gwalior Railway Station, where Railway Police secured her and informed her grandfather.Jagtial Rural police said the girl will be brought back to Jagtial by Saturday. Further investigation is underway.
