Gadchiroli: Minister of state Pankaj Bhoyar on Sunday visited Lloyds Mission for Global Skills and Entrepreneurship (LMGSE), a skill development and entrepreneurship training centre in Gadchiroli. Bhoyar was in Gadchiroli to inaugurate Mission 2047, a two-day event highlighting the district’s changing face.LMGSE, developed by Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd, trains Gadchiroli youth in industry skills aimed at employment and entrepreneurship. Bhoyar toured the centre and reviewed its training infrastructure. “I am impressed by the quality of infrastructure here and the efforts being made to give the youth of Gadchiroli access to modern, high-quality skill training,” he said.He also spoke with students undergoing training, asking what motivated them to join the institute and what skills they were learning. Bhoyar appreciated the fact that B. Prabhakaran, managing director of Lloyds, set up the institution in Gadchiroli, and said such initiatives could help change the economic prospects of a district once seen as remote.Speaking to reporters after the visit, Bhoyar said, “I am satisfied with the initiatives undertaken by Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd for the socio-economic development of Gadchiroli. The company has made sustained efforts to create opportunities for local youth and contribute to the district’s transformation through education, skill development and employment-oriented initiatives.”Bhoyar holds the portfolios of Home, Housing, School Education, Co-operation and Mining in state govt and is guardian minister for Wardha and Bhandara districts.
