T’puram: Milma chairman K S Mani has dismissed reports alleging irregularities in the supply of ghee to the Sabarimala temple, asserting that the claims were baseless and that no adulteration has taken place in any of its products. He said the ghee supplied to Sabarimala were tested and certified by the state laboratory. According to Mani, TDB has not officially informed Milma of any quality lapse in the ghee supplied. “We do not compromise on quality or resort to adulteration for excessive profit,” he said. The chairman said there was suspicion that traders from outside the state could be behind the controversy. He warned that strict legal action would be initiated if it was found that Milma’s logo or brand identity had been misused and if any Milma official was found involved in any wrongdoing.
