CHENNAI: Ishwer Dutt, IDSE, has assumed office as additional director general (projects) of Military Engineer Services in Chennai. The office of additional director general (projects) executes and monitors all the engineering-related services for the Army in the southern part of the country in addition to the DRDO and the Coast Guard.Ishwer Dutt is an officer of the 1992 batch of Indian Engineering Services. He has served in different appointments in Army, Navy, Indian Air Force and DRDO.During his tenure as Chief Engineer Bhopal Zone, he executed various works in new technologies. The Net Zero Energy Geothermal building constructed in Jhansi is the first of its kind in the country for the Indian Army.
