Thiruvananthapuram: Meta has restricted access in India to an AI-generated video featuring CM V D Satheesan dancing with KSEB employees, which had gone viral on social media. The video is accessible in other countries. Meta has not publicly explained the specific legal provision or policy under which the video was restricted.Instagram account AI Kavala, which had shared the video on the social media site, wrote about the restriction through an Instagram story, saying that Meta took action on the grounds that the video was contrary to the laws of the country. Apparently, the video was created with a sarcastic undertone against the backdrop of the ongoing power crisis in state. The video had attracted around 17.8 million views on AI Kavala’s Instagram account within a short period of time. The video had generated considerable attention on social media, with Satheesan himself commenting on it. He had said that he was surprised and joked that his dance was better than actor Mohanlal (known for his dancing) and TN CM and his actor-friend Vijay. In the midst of these developments, Satheesan again spoke about the video on Monday, saying that the viral AI dance video had made him happy. He also acknowledged that there were certain legal issues associated with the video. He recalled that a five-year-old child had congratulated him on his dance skills after watching the AI-generated video.
