Kolkata: After two almost-dry days, Kolkata is likely to enter another spell of rainy days. The Met office has predicted enhanced rain from Wednesday with a cyclonic circulation system set to get the monsoon flow activated once again.An IMD bulletin on Tuesday said the southwest monsoon might start withdrawing from parts of Rajasthan around Saturday.At present, there is an upper air cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal and north Odisha and West Bengal coasts, tilting southwestwards. This system is likely to descend from this present height and facilitate the formation of rain clouds.“We expect to enter another wet spell with enhanced rain in most parts of south Bengal. While western parts of the state are likely to get more rain, there would be light to moderate rain in Kolkata,” said H R Biswas, head at Regional Meteorological Centre, Kolkata.In the past two days, the maximum temperature rose slightly above normal after four days. At 33.7°C, it was 0.9 notches above normal.
