Srinagar, Feb 16: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar today issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, stating that there is no major rain or snow forecast over the entire region till the end of February.
A possibility of light snow at isolated higher reaches is expected on February 17, followed by generally dry conditions from February 18-24.
Partly to generally cloudy skies are expected from February 25-28, with light snow at isolated higher reaches towards the evening or night of February 28. The forecast also predicts generally cloudy conditions with light snow at isolated higher reaches from March 1-2.
Farmers are advised to continue their farm operations, and the public is warned against venturing into sloppy and avalanche-prone areas in snow-bound higher reaches. A gradual rise in minimum and maximum temperatures is expected at most places over the next 7 days .
