Accused – arguing with the complainant after kicking the car

Bengaluru: A 55-year-old software professional currently under treatment at Nimhans created a ruckus by allegedly making remarks about Hindu traditions and Kannada language.At the centre of the row was an idol of Ganesha inside a parked car in east Bengaluru. He allegedly kicked the vehicle in Banjara Layout, Horamavu, on Thursday morning.Shreyas Raju RG, 30, filed a complaint with Hennur police. In the afternoon, Shreyas asked the man about the incident. The IT professional allegedly made uncharitable remarks about Kannada language.Police registered a case for deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.Police said the man is undergoing treatment at Nimhans. His wife produced medical records before police and reportedly told them that he often behaves similarly in public, inviting trouble.Police subsequently took the man to Nimhans, where he was admitted for treatment.
