Ludhiana: Taking strict action against unauthorized development, the Municipal Corporation (MC) sealed an illegal building and removed shuttering installed for an additional floor in the Bhadaur House area on Tuesday. The enforcement drive was carried out by the building branch of MC Zone A following specific directions from MC Commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta.According to building branch officials, the civic body had initially received a complaint regarding the illegal construction. In response, a formal notice was served to the property owner, directing them to halt all unauthorized work immediately. However, the owner reportedly disregarded the notice and continued with the construction activities.On Tuesday, the MC team intervened to seal the premises. Officials noted that the owner was in the process of adding another floor to the existing structure, but the newly installed shuttering was dismantled and removed during the operation.Following the action, civic body officials issued an appeal to the public, urging residents to commence construction only after obtaining an approved building plan from the Municipal Corporation. They further warned that strict action would continue to be taken against those found engaging in illegal constructions.
