Chandigarh: The municipal corporation, Chandigarh, intensified its drive against illegal vending and encroachments Saturday, issuing 110 challans and clearing public spaces across several parts of the city.Special enforcement teams carried out operations in Sectors 22, 23, 26, 32, 42 and 46, as well as Maloya and stretches along Madhya Marg, targeting unauthorised vendors and encroachments affecting pedestrian movement.During the drive, officials removed vendors occupying public spaces and cleared market corridors to restore unobstructed access for residents and visitors. The civic body said the action was part of its ongoing effort to keep roads, markets and public areas free of encroachments and ensure smoother movement in busy commercial zones.
