Nagpur: Mayor Neeta Thakre on Thursday directed Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) officials to expedite pending civic projects and intensify efforts to secure funding through the District Planning and Development Council (DPDC).During a review meeting at the civic headquarters attended by municipal commissioner Vipin Itankar and senior engineers, the mayor assessed the progress of ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects across the city. She also instructed officials to focus on enhancing the corporation’s revenue sources while ensuring better civic amenities for residents.Among the projects reviewed were the working women’s hostel at Jaitala, Devadia Hospital, Mini Mata Hospital, Laxmi Narayan Shiv Temple complex, dog crematorium at Bhandewadi, Nandgram project and the proposed e-library at Mominpura.The mayor also reviewed beautification works planned as part of NMC’s Amrit Mahotsav celebrations and ordered departments to complete the remaining works without delay.
