Ahmedabad: Thursday may have recorded a maximum temperature of 38°C, which was close to normal, there are chances that mercury may drop a few notches in the coming days. The minimum temperature at 24.1°C was three degrees above normal.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Friday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be in the same range, but a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from Friday onwards. Currently, Gujarat is experiencing the effect of two upper air cyclonic circulations over Rajasthan. The system is likely to bring light rain and thundershowers in isolated places in Kutch and Banaskantha on Sunday, and Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, Mahisagar, and Kutch on March 30. Afterwards, the weather is likely to stabilize. At 39°C, Bhuj was the hottest city in the state on Thursday, followed by 38.9°C in Amreli, 38.4°C in Keshod and Vadodara and 38.3°C in Rajkot and Surendranagar among others.
