Hyderabad: To create awareness about various courses available at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (Manuu), ‘Visit Urdu University’ programme has been initiated.As part of the programme, students from various madrassas are invited to see the campus and learn about educational opportunities available at the varsity.“Manuu is the only university providing professional, technical and traditional education to a large number of Urdu speakers. English language is also taught to students so that they do not fall behind at the time of employment,” said Syed Ainul Hasan, vice chancellor, Manuu.He said that the varsity is also planning to run special RTC buses for students of various madrassas coming from different parts of the cities. Half of the bus fare will be paid by the university, he informed.Officials from Manuu advised the madrassa students wanting to pursue courses in science, law, BA or MA, to clear their Class X and Class XII examinations from the Telangana Open School Society (TOSS). They said that after clearing the exam from TOSS, madrassa students can enroll in any technical or professional course.
