Mandya: Mandya Congress MLA Ravikumar Ganiga on Wednesday alleged that there is a political conspiracy to implicate chief minister DK Shivakumar in cases and send him to jail.Speaking to reporters in Mandya, Ravikumar claimed that some political leaders were unable to accept the growing popularity and leadership of Shivakumar and were conspiring against him on a daily basis. He alleged that Union minister HD Kumaraswamy, in association with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, was using central investigating agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI, to target DK Shivakumar. He alleged that Kumaraswamy was neither contributing to the state’s development nor allowing developmental initiatives to move forward.The MLA said Shivakumar’s proposal to establish an AI City at Bidadi would have accelerated the development of Old Mysuru region, and created new opportunities for farmers and youth. However, the project was being opposed for political reasons and farmers are being misled against it, he alleged. Ravikumar alleged that opposition to the proposed Bidadi township was driven by political considerations and fear of Shivakumar’s rising influence in the State.
