Gurgaon: A 28-year-old man died after a truck hit him and his friend while they were walking home near Sultanpur village in Farrukhnagar on Friday.“Rajesh, a resident of UP’s Hardoi, was taken to SGT Hospital in Budhera and referred to PGIMS Rohtak, where he died. We obtained his medico-legal report from SGT Hospital and registered a case under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (death by negligence) of BNS at Farrukhnagar police station,” a police officer said.The driver was caught by passersby. According to a complaint filed by Rajesh’s friend Vedaram, who lives in Sultanpur’s Maruti Colony, the two were walking home around 8.20pm after getting down from Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and taking a dirt track. They had crossed some distance beyond Suraj Hotel when the truck hit them from behind.Vedaram fell by the roadside, while Rajesh suffered serious injuries. The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and tried to flee, but passersby handed him over to police. The truck was seized.In the second accident, Nitin, a resident of Badshahpur Taithad village in Sohna, died after a bus hit the motorcycle on which he was riding pillion with his uncle Naresh near Sirmathla road on Saturday.Naresh told police that he had gone to Kune Nangal Company in Rahaka to bring Nitin home. Around 6pm, they were returning towards Nimoṭh when the bus heading towards the company hit their motorcycle from the side.“Naresh fell off the motorcycle, while Nitin suffered serious head injuries. Naresh said he noted the bus registration number before its driver fled,” a police officer said.Nitin was taken to Al Falah Hospital in Dhauj and shifted to an ESI Hospital in Faridabad, where doctors declared him dead.Police registered a case under sections 281 and 106 BNS at City Sohna police station.
