Times News NetworkPanchkula: A 30-year-old juice vendor was allegedly stabbed to death and another man injured after a meeting to resolve old disputes turned violent in Panchkula’s MDC area on Thursday night, police said.The deceased, Kapil, a resident of MDC Sector 4, ran a juice cart. Police said Kapil and a group of youths with whom he reportedly had an ongoing dispute had gathered at a park near the BJP office on Saketri Road to settle their differences.Preliminary investigations suggest that around 20 to 25 people were present. The discussion soon snowballed into an argument, which escalated into violence.Police said Kapil was allegedly stabbed during the clash.Despite suffering serious injuries, he managed to come out of the park and reach the roadside before collapsing.A Dial 112 emergency response team, which happened to be passing through the area, rushed him to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6, but he succumbed to his injuries.Saketri resident Abhishek also suffered injuries and is undergoing treatment. Police said he is in stable condition.Senior police officers reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. Deputy commissioner of police (Crime) Amarinder Singh inspected the crime scene, while forensic teams collected evidence.Police have registered a case of murder and other offences against unidentified accused persons. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area and questioning witnesses.Officials said raids are being conducted at multiple locations to trace and arrest the accused. The motive behind the violence is yet to be established.
