Kanpur: A man and his son allegedly died after getting electrocuted inside a room built inside the City Garden premises late Thursday. According to police, the deceased man, identified as Babulal (60) was employed as a watchman at City Garden located in Kalukuan area in Banda district, and lived in a room built inside the premises.On Thursday, his son, Dhiru (30) had come to meet him. Late night, neighbours heard some strange sounds coming from the room.After finding no response despite repeated knocking, the neighbours informed a relative of Babulal on the phone. The neighbors later broke open the door and found the father and son lying unconscious on the floor. Police arrived at the spot after receiving information, and sent the two to a district hospital, where doctors declared them dead.Police said that in the preliminary investigation , it hasn’t been completely clear under what circumstances both came in contact with electric current. Officials said that the exact cause of the accident will be known only after the forensic investigation and postmortem report arrive.
