Madhubani: A 28-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified criminals near the Ram-Janaki Temple at Mangrauni Chowk under the Rajnagar police station area of Madhubani district on Tuesday night.According to police, the deceased was identified as Nikhil Jha, son of Shashinath Jha alias Lalan Jha, a resident of Khajedih village under Ladania police station area. He was shot in the neck and died on the spot. The police suspect the murder could be linked to a love affair. After the postmortem, the body was taken to his native village on Wednesday morning.Superintendent of police (SP) Yogendra Kumar, along with teams from several police stations, reached the spot late at night and began an investigation. “Raids are underway to nab the accused, and the matter is being thoroughly investigated,” he said.
