Dumka: Unidentified assailants shot at a 23-year-old man in Bariyarbandhi area under Town police station limits in Deoghar on Wednesday. The injured man was identified as Abhishek Yadav, a resident of SKP School area in Bampas Town. Yadav sustained a gunshot wound to his waist. He was admitted to Deoghar Sadar Hospital, where his condition remained stable. The attackers fled the scene after the incident.Yadav informed the police that he was going to attend nature’s call after parking his motorbike near Khoradah Kali temple when two men came up to him on a motorcycle. “With their faces covered, they fired at me,” he told the police. The incident took place around 12 pm.Rajiv Kumar, the officer-in-charge of Deoghar Town police station, said, “The motive behind the shooting is unclear. However, investigation is being carried out on multiple angles.” Kumar said a formal complaint was yet to be registered.
