T’puram: A 52-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his 19-year-old neighbour, a degree student, after a dispute over CCTV installation at her house in Pathanapuram.Police identified the accused as Sunil Kumar. His son Mithun, also named in the case, is absconding. Police said the families had a history of disputes, including property boundaries.The student’s family had installed cameras after alleged repeated disturbances. Footage reportedly shows Kumar, Mithun and Jalajakshi entering the premises and dragging the teen out, causing her to fall and suffer minor injuries.Neighbours told police the family often picked quarrels. Kumar will be produced in court on Saturday. Police invoked relevant BNS sections in the case.
